Thank you for your interest in purchasing a membership for the World Fantasy Convention 2022. On this page you’ll find information about the different levels of membership, dates, prices, and more. Everyone attending the convention (including dealers, artists, and all program participants) or any of its events must have a valid membership.

 

Additionally, purchase of a membership to World Fantasy Convention 2022 indicates your acceptance of and compliance with all convention policies. Please see the Policies page of this website for details.

WFC 2022 reserves the right to refuse or refund memberships as it deems appropriate in order to ensure the safety and comfort of all members.

Attending Membership

An Attending Membership is for those who plan to physically attend the convention in New Orleans. Attending members have access to all convention activities and are entitled to submit a nomination ballot for the World Fantasy Awards for 2022 (provided you purchase your membership before May 31, 2022,) 2023 and 2024.

Attending Membership Fee

$250.00USD

Fees will be processed in USD. Your chosen payment option (Credit Card, PayPal, or your bank) will apply the official conversion rate on the day your transaction is processed by that institution.

Supporting Membership

A Supporting Membership is for someone who does not plan to attend, or participate in, the convention. Supporting Members will receive convention printed materials offered to Attending Members, with the exception of donated books, and are entitled to submit a nomination ballot for the World Fantasy Awards for 2022 (provided you purchase your membership before May 31, 2022,) 2023 and 2024.

Supporting  Membership Fee:

 $50.00 USD

Fees will be processed in USD. Your chosen payment option (Credit Card, PayPal, or your bank) will apply the official conversion rate on the day your transaction is processed by that institution.

Virtual Membership

We are hard at work creating a Virtual component of the program at WFC 2022. Virtual Membership is for someone who plans to participate in the convention remotely. Note that this component may not include all activities or all program items, due to technical limitations. Virtual Members will receive convention printed materials offered to Attending Members, with the exception of donated books, and are entitled to submit a nomination ballot for the World Fantasy Awards for 2022 (provided you purchase your membership before May 31, 2022,) 2023 and 2024.

Virtual Membership Fee:

 $125.00 USD

Fees will be processed in USD. Your chosen payment option (Credit Card, PayPal, or your bank) will apply the official conversion rate on the day your transaction is processed by that institution.

Payment Options

If you register online you will be prompted to complete a registration form. At the end of the form, you will see the following payment options:

Credit Card: You may pay via credit card through our secure payment system.

​

Paypal: if you select this option, you will be redirected to the Paypal website where you may sign on and complete the payment. If you don't have a Paypal account, you can still use Paypal to process a secure credit card payment.

​Manual Payment: Select this option if you wish to pay for your registration by mailing a check. When you click the Manual Payment button, instructions for each type of payment will be displayed. Please note: your membership will not be activated until your payment has cleared our bank.

Converting Memberships

A Supporting Membership may be upgraded to a Virtual Membership or Attending Membership by paying the difference between your Supporting Membership Fee ($50.00 USD) and the current membership fee at the time you convert.

 

EXAMPLE: You purchased your supporting membership for $50. The current Attending Membership is $250.

Calculation - $250.00 - $50.00 = $200.00

 

You may convert your Supporting Membership to Attending Membership for $200.00 USD

Refunds and Cancellations

World Fantasy Convention membership is not refundable except under extraordinary circumstances. If you have experienced extraordinary circumstances and would like to request a refund, please send a request with details to Registration.

Transferring Memberships

Transfers must be arranged between privately between a member and a non-member. When the transfer is finished please send us an email with the final data so that we can have the proper name on the badge when you arrive. This information needs to be emailed to Registration  or mailed to:
