Queer in the Market: The State Of LGBTQ+ Representation in Fantasy and Horror Publishing

How are queer authors, storylines, and characters doing today? What is the State of Queerness when it comes to publishing storylines that may reach a small market, to those that reach a HUGE market? Let's assess. Have things gotten better for authors trying to reach an audience? Are publishers, big and small, able to get queer stories to the fans that want to hear them? Or are creatives still facing traditional headwinds at acquisitions and marketing? In recent years the landscape of queer representation has changed. But has it changed for the better? What's working? Where is there still a lot of work to do?

Is the musical style instrumental to the fictional society?
